The company’s links with Argentina can be traced back to as early as 1916, when American Express opened its branch in Buenos Aires for correspondence, telegrams, drafts, travellers cheques, collections, sale of tickets, organisation of tourist excursions and issuance of letters of credit for shipments. Over the years, the Argentine branch of American Express has become a locally respected service brand, reaching top positions in most of the surveys conducted in terms of quality of products and services in Argentina. In charge of legal affairs upholding this outstanding reputation in the sector, Zerdan has demonstrated a proven ability to address various issues in a strategic manner. She spent five years in private practice at Ortiz & Asociados as an associate before she made the move in-house. Zerdan holds a degree in law from the National University of Tucuman in Argentina as well as an LLM from the Tulane University Law School in the US.
