Danone is a French multinational food products corporation based in Paris, having been initially founded in Barcelona, Spain. In 2018 Danone sold products in 120 markets and achieved sales of €24.7bn. Having a strong global presence, Danone employs more than 105,000 people in over 55 countries. With an aim to transform and grow, Danone Argentina integrated the two most important mineral water companies in Argentina: Villavicencio in 1996, and Villa del Sur in 1999. Javier Lozada serves as general secretary of Danone, covering the Southern Cone countries in Latin America, including Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. He is responsible for a range of matters, such as legal and compliance, corporate and governmental affairs, regulatory matters, and corporate social responsibility. Lozada commenced his current position in May 2015 and had obtained vast legal career experience beforehand. He is ‘an excellent lawyer and executive. His experience in Philips and related companies has allowed him to acquire knowledge in various branches of law’, according to nominating sources.
