Unilever has been present in Argentina since 1926. It employs 4,500 people across its six plants in Munro, Tortuguitas, Pilar, Villa Gobernador Gálvez, Gualeguaychú, Mendoza and La Rioja, and head office. It is the regional hub of the Unilever’s Southern Cone division which encompasses Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru. Paula Morrone leads the legal division across the region and is an experienced recognised leader within the legal industry specifically in antitrust matters. A nominator identifies that she has ‘great exposure to the region in a wide variety of areas, mainly in antitrust’. In the last year Unilever and its multitude of world famous brands, including Dove, Knorr and Clif, has been working to implement the firm’s “Sustainable Life Plan 2020” involving reducing the environmental impact of the business and numerous regulatory, contractual and governance related issues.
