What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

The most significant case during the last two years has been adapting our teamwork to the transformation process the company is carrying out. Apart from that, we are developing the legal strategy for the international expansion of some of our business units.

In a changing financial landscape, how does the company remain competitive against new phenomena such as fintech and blockchain, and how does the legal team assist with this?

Remaining competitive is part of our transformation, as the company’s legal team. The challenge to keep the company sustainable has to do with this process of change, turning us into an agile company. The legal team must deal with the traditional legal issues, and at the same time must give legal advice to the new structure which oversees the transformation process. We consider it very important to have a good balance between in-house legal work and external help from law firms.

What is currently missing from law firm services that would benefit their corporate clients?

We have no pending issues or unsatisfied demands from law firms. We select them considering which is the most suitable for each case.
