Within their Argentina operations, Cargill’s in-house legal team is a very well embedded function with a track record of success and immense experience within the team. This is exemplified by Southern Cone legal director Cynthia Zarranz, who has been with the company since 1993 and knows the business’s unique requirements (it is the world’s largest privately-owned company) inside-out. She leads a multi-disciplinary and multinational team which is well-stocked with legal talent.
Laura Andrea Pesce also possesses an enviable level of experience to draw from, having operated with the company since August 2006, during which time she has built a reputation as a formidable and highly efficient litigation manager. In-house corporate lawyer Maria Cecilia Bameule also has over a decade experience with the company during which she has advised on the full spectrum of company activities, while Sebastian Lopez Yanes is a specialist labour and employment senior lawyer whose specific expertise allows the company a robust response to HR and employment matters. The team’s comprehensive mix of both generalist and specialist legal understanding, combined with the intense understanding of the companies intricacies that comes with the vast internal experience it can draw from, mean that Cargill’s Argentina-based Southern Cone legal team is fully able to meet the myriad challenges of the company.
Highlighting the strength of the team as a whole, senior Lawyer – financial lawyer and M&A specialist Matias Sicardi, senior lawyer – shipping and trading specialist Marina Alvarez and general commercial lawyers Lucas Berrade, Cecilia Hoszowski, Lia Pawlow and Sol Blanco were all recommended during the research process.
