Vice president, assistant general counsel | Gray Television
Legal team size: 12 to 15
During the past year, what are you and your teams’ proudest accomplishments?
In a rapidly changing media universe, Gray has taken advantage of the return of live sports to free-over-the-air television. I spearheaded the launch of the Peachtree Sports Network across Georgia and inked dozens of team rights deals in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Connecticut, and Louisiana, including the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, OKC Thunder, UCONN, and other lesser-known teams. We also handled all legal work for opening the new Assembly Studios project in Doraville, with NBCU as the largest tenant.
What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?
In a rapidly changing media environment, media lawyers must draw from history and think about the future to develop the right deal structures, documentation, and relationships to thrive.
Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, you are passionate about?
My father, sisters, sons, and I all wear hearing aids, and I am a passionate advocate for accessibility, including serving on the Federal Communications Commission’s Disability Advisory Committee.
