During the past year, what are your teams’ proudest accomplishments? 

2023 was a year of significant change for Riskonnect as well as the global economy more generally. To adapt to this change, and to advance Riskonnect’s overall business objectives, our legal team concentrated its efforts in three major areas: commercial contracting, acquisition integration and compliance. First, we worked cross-functionally to improve our contracting processes, through automation, standardization and digitization. Second, we continued to integrate two major acquisitions that were closed in 2022, not least by supporting cross-sell opportunities from a contractual perspective. And third, we worked to drive a holistic, cross-functional approach to compliance (especially in the areas of data protection and information security) through discovery and enhanced coordination among relevant internal stakeholders. 

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024? 

2024 will see a continuation of our efforts in 2023 in the key areas of contract standardization and rationalization, the integration of acquired companies and a comprehensive and agile approach to legal and regulatory compliance. 

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, you are passionate about? 

I have long been passionate about the struggles of LGBTQ youth and volunteered for many years with a program sponsored by the Church of Saint Luke-in-the-Fields in New York City. Now that I am back in Atlanta, I support the efforts of Lost-n-Found Youth, which does amazing work in this area.
