Karen Pedersen has served as group general counsel of Lendlease Group since January 2013 in Sydney, and has over 20 years of experience of in-house senior legal roles in the property and construction sector as well as a successful private practice career. Her prior experience in major property development firms like Brookfield Multiplex and Leighton Holdings provide her with the depth of knowledge needed to expertly guide Lendlease Group’s legal function and its major construction projects and partnerships.

Lendlease is one of Australia’s most successful international integrated property and infrastructure group with a global footprint and nearly 13,000 employees internationally. It has built some landmark construction projects around the world such as the Petronas Towers and Kuala Lumpur, the Athletes’ Olympic Village in London, and many other infrastructure, stadiums, hospitals, schools and other buildings around the world. Recently, Lendlease has cooperated in partnership with First State Super, one of the largest Australian superannuation funds, to create an investment platform to develop multifamily residential properties in major US cities.
