Serving as senior corporate counsel and company secretary for Goodman, Lisa Godfrey has over 15 years of experience in both corporate and real estate law, and compliance. Having joined Goodman in 2015, Godfrey has particular legal expertise in investment management, corporate structuring, M&A transactions, joint ventures, real estate, corporate governance, banking and finance, and regulatory compliance. Prior to her current position, Godfrey worked as group company secretary and legal counsel at Aveo Group, a publicly listed healthcare company, for over five years. Godfrey’s experience as an in-house legal counsel and company secretary has provided her with a pragmatic and commercial approach to problem solving and experience working with company boards and executive management. Before moving in-house, she obtained legal experience in private practice, working at Minter Ellison and Lynch Meyer Lawyers. Apart from her legal achievements in the in-house sector, Godfrey also has an MBA from the University of South Australia.
