Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?
Knowledge management is extremely important but sometimes does not allow the user to see whether there are any negotiated clauses that could be used as a starting position. Within a team, we helped implement a simple knowledge management system to identify passed negotiated clauses.
What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
I am a legal lead on complex, high value technology transactions which includes master services agreements, IT standalone agreements, SaaS, system integration, managed services, outsourcing, licensing, and cross-border agreements. These range in value but commonly are over US$50m.
What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?
Mentoring new lawyers is very important to me, especially post Covid, where building a professional network has become increasingly difficult. I was the beneficiary of a fantastic mentor who provided me with the tools to help navigate the legal profession and achieve my goals. For me to then pass this benefit onto other lawyers is extremely important as it continues to help the profession as a whole.
