Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?  

My team manages a very large volume of matters, including facilitating execution of contracts. By engaging relevant stakeholders, setting up the governance framework and taking advantage of electronic signing technology, I streamlined a process that once could take days or weeks per document execution to hours, requiring less team member involvement in the process. 

What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in? 

My team has more recently been involved in: the $300m sale of the Coles Express fuel and retailing business to Viva Energy, transferring ownership and operation of 710 Coles Express sites; the acquisition of a significant number of freehold land and business ventures for both store development and facilities to support products sold in stores; and the development and construction of two automated customer fulfilment centres in Victoria and NSW, and the development of two new automated distribution centres across NSW and QLD.  

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?  

I am proud to work for an organisation that lives and breathes its commitment to its people and the broader community. Through the Coles community and charity partner Magpie’s Nest, I have been able to devote my time to support this cause that I care about to help fight homelessness and support people facing disadvantage in Melbourne. I believe that supporting homelessness in this way benefits all of us to break the cycle of homelessness, one person, one family at a time.
