Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

The teamwork has significantly improved a lot on the basis of the following parameters:

Firstly, we have a group on Microsoft Teams with all employees of the legal department. On this platform, we are always able to exchange information about upcoming topics or news concerning our department. A big advantage is that we can also use the Teams group to coordinate office attendance, home office days and holidays.

Apart from that, have a whiteboard in the office on which we visualise the current issues our department is dealing with. We also have à jour fixe every week, where we discuss the current topics in detail and eventually divide the work between ourselves.

Finally, we have planned a strategy workshop in the next few weeks, which should not only promote our way of working but also our foster team spirit.

Apart from legal matters, has the team worked on other company initiatives?

Apart from legal issues, our department also deals with compliance. Recently, a new pilot project – Austria Lisec Feedback Corner for Employees – was launched to provide a forum for employees to raise concerns and make suggestions. Our department supports this project by attending to the matters of concern.

Can you sum up the team culture/ethos in one sentence? 

We see our department as a reliable service provider and work together in a mutually supportive manner. It is important for us as a department to maintain the trust of our colleagues. Therefore, we always make sure to work on time and with precision. We succeed in this especially because we always support and exchange information with each other as a team. Therefore, working in our legal department is not only pleasant but also made simple.
