Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?

Recently, the central legal team (HQ) had created a brand-new web-based approval process to obtain board management approvals, completely replacing the previous paper-based approach. The new process allows for a swift, efficient and very transparent procedure, reducing administrative efforts along the entire process-chain globally.

Apart from legal matters, has the team worked on other company initiatives?

The legal team is engaged with and responsible for other company initiatives, such as compliance, insurance and corporate governance. Within the compliance arena we cover the activity fields of anti-corruption, anti-competition, anti-money laundering, export and sanctions as well as data protection in close alignment with all internal as well as external stakeholders. In insurance, we are responsible for the legal handling of all insurance matters as well as the roll-out of insurance policies. Last but not least, the legal team is also responsible for corporate governance, including but not limited to the formal implementation of group-wide guidelines on a local level, signature rules as well as the creation and implementation of processes for management approvals.

On a local level, the legal team also engages in special projects such as business continuity management (BCM) or the coordination of corporate audits.
