Agnieszka Kominkiewicz-Hibbert has served as the Netherlands EMEA legal director for California-based scooter share company Bird since July 2018, where she has built the EMEA legal team which currently is made up of four dedicated lawyers. Kominkiewicz-Hibbert leads them to support business in making cities more liveable by reducing car usage, traffic and carbon emissions. ‘I am very proud that I’ve managed to build and maintain a culture where the legal team is a true partner for business getting involved very early on in key decisions that affect the business’ she says. In light of her success as a legal manager she was recently asked to manage legal support for the APAC region in addition to EMEA. Prior to this she served as a legal counsel for Uber Netherlands for five years, between 2013-2018, during which she advised on various complex corporate, regulatory, employment and transactional matters, responsible for providing legal support to CEE, Russia and CIS countries both for the Riders and Eats business. Deeming her an asset to the works of Uber, a business colleague described her as ‘personifying what a great company should aspire to – that is for everyone to fight for the same goals. Instead of solving for only legal perspective she has always worked with us to figure out a solution that makes most sense for the business as a whole. Truly inspiring!
