Olga Prokopovych has a strong proven track record of diverse and extensive work in the areas of IT, telecommunications, law, privacy, M&A, corporate, commercial, competition, antitrust and intellectual property. Encompassing a broad range of experience in both legal consulting roles and as an in-house lawyer, Prokopovych has had extensive experience dealing with cross-border transactions and negotiations in specified practice areas for different multinational companies in both Ukraine and abroad. As the current legal director of Amsterdam-headquartered, Russian-backed telecoms group, VEON. Prokopovych provides legal advisory service for the CEO of the Eurasia region – encompassing Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan – on various matters of commercial and corporate law, litigation and risk management. Prokopovych was notably involved in the sale of the Beeline business in Tajikistan, and has also been behind the full legal and regulatory support of the 4G spectrum action in 2600 MHz and 1800 MHz bands in Ukraine. Prior to her time at VEON, she served as the legal and corporate affairs director for Ukraine and CIS for Microsoft, where as a member of the Ukraine leadership team she provided advice across a large range of subject matters, as well as ensuring Microsoft subsidiaries in respective regions are in compliance with all law and regulations, cooperating with HR, finance and the business leadership team members.
