Technology will play a leading role in legal work, from the increasingly widespread use of Smart contracts, blockchain, robotisation, and artificial intelligence to the organic systematisation based on technology for corporate decision-making.
Do you use any legal technology products and, if so, for what areas of your work do you find them most useful?
Yes, we use organisational managers for corporate governance bodies, as well as automation of contract preparation and monitoring.

Guido Franco is the national legal manager of the Entidad de Depósito de Valores de Bolivia. He has more than 20 years advising in the Bolivian securities market, has held teaching positions in prestigious universities in Bolivia in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Commercial Law, Business Legislation, Notarial Law, Environmental Law and Computer Law. He has participated as a speaker and lecturer in various academic events both in Bolivia and internationally.
He is a member of prestigious international organisations, among which stand out: Ibero-American Federation of Law and Informatics (FIADI), Internet Society (ISOC), Internet Society – Bolivia Chapter (ISOC – Bolivia), and the Latin American Association of Corporate Secretaries (ASCLA)
In his current position, Guido Franco is responsible for the legal management of the Entidad de Depósito de Valores de Bolivia, an essential market infrastructure for the Bolivian financial system. This entity was created at the beginning of the 21st century, with the purpose of supporting the development of the securities market, generating efficiency, security and transparency, through a modern, reliable and secure institution, with state-of-the-art technology and specialised personnel to provide registration, custody, clearing and settlement services for transactions traded on the Bolivian Stock Exchange, with securities represented by book entries.
