Juan Carlos de la Vía Pereira, the current National legal manager of Banco Económico in Bolivia has been working in the financial sector since 1992, as a lawyer of Banco Popular del Perú and as a lawyer and legal manager of Banco de Crédito de Bolivia. He was a member of the board of directors of the Fundación Educacional San Agustín in the city of Cochabamba on several occasions, university professor at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón, Universidad Católica Boliviana and Universidad Privada Boliviana, in different subjects of Private Law. Juan Carlos has also worked in private practice, as an advisor, director and trustee in the mining, service and financial industries. For the last nine years he has overseen the legal department of Banco Económico with 30 employees at the national level, being responsible for the direction and supervision of the legal, contractual, contentious, corporate and governance operational management at different levels.
