Rolando Imaña is the legal and compliance manager of Crediseguro, a Bolivian insurance company belonging to Grupo Financiero Crédito, which is part of Credicorp with a presence in more than five countries. He has more than 10 years of experience, seven of which were dedicated specifically to the insurance industry. He has a law degree from the Bolivian Catholic University, a master’s degree in risk management and insurance, from the San Antonio de Murcia University, and a specialty in insurance law from the University of Salamanca. Additionally, Rolando has postgraduate degrees in insurance, arbitration, insurance law and administrative law in Colombia, Argentina and Bolivia respectively.

Due to his experience, he is trained as an extrajudicial conciliator by the Ministry of Justice and Institutional Transparency of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. In the beginning, Rolando attended the programme for young lawyers, promoted by the Bar Association of the city of Buenos Aires, through which he carried out professional practice at the law firm Hope Duggan & Silva, in Argentina. In Bolivia, in the private sector, he has held positions at Dentons Guevara & Gutiérrez and Banco de Crédito, while, in the public sector, he gained experience in regulation as part of the legal department of the insurance supervisory authority. In his current position, Rolando oversees decision-making and legal leadership, as well as being responsible for ensuring the implementation of procedures and good practices to identify and classify the operational and legal risks that Crediseguro faces, as well as to establish internal mechanisms for prevention, management, control and reaction against them. Personally, Rolando is passionate about soccer, he spends his free time with his family and playing sports, enjoying his wife’s company.
