How do you manage legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis, and how do you align your legal strategy with the overall business strategy to ensure organisational resilience? 

In Bolivia, we are currently facing a period of financial instability that could lead to a crisis in the near future. Therefore, identifying risks and planning measures to manage and mitigate their impact are crucial for a containment strategy. In this regard, transitioning to more cost-effective operational models with greater cost-efficiency can drive organisational transformation. 

What steps has your company taken to incorporate sustainability practices into its core business operations, and how does the role of General Counsel contribute to driving and ensuring sustainable practices within the company? 

At Plan International, like many international NGOs, we are constantly seeking new operational models to mitigate any economic impact. One of the initial steps we took was decentralising staff in each country while centralising senior management in collaborative clusters to work on these more cost-effective operational models. 

Which emerging technologies do you believe will have the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments? 

The use of AI in activities related to the functions of a corporate lawyer will have a favourable impact, provided that these tools are used correctly. The priority should be ensuring that they enhance efficiency and save time within processes.
