How do you manage legal matters during periods of instability or crisis, and how does your legal strategy align with the overall business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
A company must always be protected in corporate terms during times of crisis or instability, as business owners constantly face the risk of losses due to a lack of proper organisational structure.
In this regard, within our company, we ensure that all partners feel confident that their investments are safeguarded and not at risk of being lost. We are currently undergoing a new process of business restructuring, anticipating the political crisis our country is experiencing.
What measures has your company taken to incorporate sustainability practices into its core business operations, and how does the role of the general counsel contribute to driving and ensuring sustainable practices within the company?
The production and marketing of chocolates require significant effort to meet customer preferences.
That is why we are continuously seeking general supplies that can contribute to sustainability practices, in addition to campaigns we are constantly considering implementing.
This commitment is shared across the board, not just by the legal advisor but by the entire team across all departments.
What emerging technologies do you believe will have the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
Artificial intelligence is already an active part of the world, with technologies being developed for various fields.
However, as lawyers, we anticipate that AI will develop software that assists in managing our profession. Particularly in Bolivia, given the stringent regulations and constant oversight, we need technology that enables us to keep all documentation in order and avoid fines.
