How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
There are legal components aimed at ensuring legal precision for the company. This involves a work process to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities. It is advisable to have a coordinated legal and economic strategy with the company’s executives to make better decisions when investing or continuing operations optimally to improve economic results and benefits for the company. Legal management during crises and periods of instability needs to be proactive, adaptive, and preventative to avoid legal violations and ensure compliance with legal procedures for better business operations.
In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently (these can be legal, political, economy or business-based)?
Currently, Bolivia is facing structural problems in both the economic and political spheres. Economically, private investment has significantly decreased in some sectors due to a shortage of foreign currency and a lack of incentives for investment (such as tax and labor incentives). Politically, the ruling party is fragmented and struggling with governance issues, leading to uncertainty regarding investments from both local and foreign companies. Consequently, without investment, there is no growth or working capital to continue developing businesses.
