Juliano Mirapalheta Sangoi, has served at Zenvia Mobile Serviços Digitais since 2016, managing the company’s tax compliance, labour, litigation, contractual, corporate, IP and other legal affairs. With five years of in-house and private practice experience, an MBA specialisation in tax and corporate law, he has made a big impact, and was included in the GC Powerlist: Brazil in 2017. Zenvia is a leading mobile technology company specialising in SMS and Chatbot technology. The legal department is headed by two lawyers, of which he is one. Prior to joining Zenvia, he was a lawyer at a firm representing Mercedes Benz as his main client in civil cases, as well as in-house at Medical Union of Rio Grande do Sul (SIMERS). Sangoi has been leading the implementation of electronic signatures, and other technical modifications to increase efficiency. He places great importance on the flexibility of lawyers within the company, commenting that ‘a macro view of the company is key to understanding the business, the professional should not be limited only to “laws.” Acting in order to meet internal and external customers is fundamental for the proper development of any activity. Finally, a good balance between all the members of the team is essential, assigning responsibility according to the characteristics and specialisation of each member’. Additionally, Sangoi has been involved in the implementation of a company-wide compliance program; mitigation of labour risks; electronic signatures of documents and the management of documents and partner offices of the legal department.
