Túlio Marco Gonçalves Barros
Legal and institutional relations manager | Netshoes
After a five year stint in private practice, Túlio Marco Gonçalves Barros first moved to an in-house role at Arinos Química, and developed his talent for commercial litigation with a move to Grupo Pão de Açúcar, where he joined the litigation team of the Brazilian retail giant. In 2015, after seven years he joined Netshoes as a legal manager responsible for preparing the company for its IPO. Barros says, ‘working on this project alongside an ace legal department, such as Flavio Franco, had a strong impact on my career to “untie” me and improve my management and leadership style within a legal department’. Soon after Barros arrived at Netshoes, he worked on the restructuring of the company’s litigation, improving the flows and controls to prepare the company for the opening of capital. In the last three years he had the opportunity to work on the Netshoes private label credit card project in partnership with Banco Itaú, in the acquisition of Shoestock brand rights and in the process of preparing the company for its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, in April 2017.
