What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Our legal department supports all Scania entities and businesses in Brazil and therefore is involved in all legal matters from the development of new products and services, financial services, supply chain, labour matters, corporate issues, regulatory and litigation, to name a few. In 2022, the biggest project in which we actively participated was the development of our new franchise rental business.

How do you suggest in-house lawyers build strong relationships with business partners?

This question is exactly about what I have been dedicating my efforts to. I believe that to build a strong relationship with my business partner, I must know their role and activities within the business, in detail, and understand their weaknesses, where they are and where they want to go. It is about having a holistic view and undertaking the matter as it was your own so your business partners know that they can rely and count on you. It is about building the company’s success together.
