What are the most significant cases and/or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in? 

We have recently participated in two renewable energy partnerships. Firstly, we participated in a natural gas contract in the free Brazilian market signed with Minas Gerais State. We also entered a solar energy partnership with Shell.  

As well as this, we entered a transportation partnership with Randon. 

In terms of ESG, we have implemented diversity projects on race and gender, aimed at suppliers, and have also included contractual clauses of social investment. 

How important is choosing to work with external lawyers who align with your company’s values? Are you likely to reconsider what firms you work with based on this? 

In regard to law firms, we would like to see them contracting lawyers and interns based on diversity criteria. 

As we live in a fast-paced world today, what skills will a corporate legal team need to succeed in the modern in-house industry? 

It is important for the corporate legal team to adapt to technology and business skills faster than classic lawyers or even external counsel.
