What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Since the beginning of 2023, the legal team has been involved in a judicial recovery, due to the corporate reorganisation.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

In my opinion, the most important quality for an in-house lawyer to possess is communication, with colleagues, staff, and the other departments of the firm. Clear and assertive communication can speed up processes and projects, as well as avoid misunderstandings.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

The company’s output depends on the collaboration of all departments and professionals. Hence, we will have a better chance of achieving our targets if we prioritise working as a large and collaborative team. Empathy and working together will always provide better results in everyday life.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

In addition to my family, I am passionate about simplifying processes and language. My purpose is (and always has been) to democratise the law and transform the legal landscape into an inclusive environment accessible to anyone interested. For this reason, I am one of the founders of “Jurídico Sem Gravata” (Legal without Tie), an association that targets to propagate modern, business-oriented law in an accessible and unbureaucratic way. This is my passion and what I constantly strive for.
