Bio
Cristiano Cozer has served as the general counsel of Banco Central do Brasil since 2016, having joined as an attorney in 1998. Cristiano graduated from Rio de Janeiro State University in 1997 and holds a master’s degree in Law, State, and Constitution from the University of Brasília (2006), as well as a master’s degree in Economics, Development, and Public Policy from IDP/Brasília (2023). Moreover, he is currently pursuing a doctorate in Economic and Financial Law at the University of São Paulo.
Cristiano has authored articles and given speeches on the legal aspects of monetary policy and financial regulation. He has been a member of the Committee on International Monetary Law of the International Law Association (Mocomila) since 2014 and of the Brazilian Bar Association since 1998.
