Bio
Flávia is an accomplished legal professional. A chief culture officer and executive legal director at Minerva boasting over 25 years of diverse experience in both public and private sectors. Her public sector tenure includes roles as a judicial and tax attorney, specialising in public, procedural, public, and environmental law. Transitioning to the private sector, she has spent more than 16 years at Minerva, where she serves as the global legal executive director. In this role, she oversees M&A, corporate, litigation, contractual matters, trademarks and patents, competition, and environmental law, while playing a crucial role in capital market operations.
Flávia has also demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, having structured and led Minerva’s sustainability department for over five years. Her dedication to innovation is evident from her leadership in earning the “Legal Department 4.0” certification for her team in 2023. As the PMO of Minerva’s organisational culture program, she collaborates with culture ambassadors, HR professionals, management, and the board of directors to foster a cohesive culture across all countries where Minerva operates.
Her influence extends beyond Minerva; she is a deliberative advisor at Make-A-Wish Brasil and has served on the board of Athena Foods. Flávia’s extensive volunteer work includes serving as president of the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents and working with various municipal councils.
A mentor in corporate and academic settings, Flávia contributes her expertise to programs such as those by Abstartups in partnership with Sebrae/SP. She is also a published author, with works including “Ação Popular Ambiental” and contributions to various legal texts. Her academic credentials include a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedure, a specialisation in Tax Law, a master’s degree in law, and a Post-MBA Advanced Boardroom Program for Women (ABP-W). Certified in Barrett Methodology and an active volunteer, Flávia exemplifies leadership and dedication in her field.
