Creativity, resilience, deep knowledge of the market. Also, a strong sense of purpose to deliver high quality advisory to a fast-paced environment.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

Legal and compliance are and must remain as true partners of the business functions, working in close collaboration with all functions and business areas. This is key for lawyers and compliance professionals to understand the market that we currently live in and for the functions and business areas to understand the constraints that legislation and regulation imposes and how the whole team can overcome them with the correct team spirit.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

Actually, I have two at the very core of my heart and soul.

Access to health is the first one: This is a must for everyone. No one should ever suffer from a disease or condition that we can cure or control (or even prevent with vaccines).

The second one is diversity, equity and inclusion. Everyone is part of this world and should be treated as equal, respecting its differences. No one should ever be discriminated or left behind.
