What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Keeping the litigation level under control and supporting the Group on the M&A activities in Brazil. The latest project was the acquisition of DPA company (yogurts with Nestlé brands) in the second semester of 2023.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

Pragmatic approach, developed by depth knowledge of the business and  acquired through proximity to the internal clients and clear agreement with them about the key priorities and the “big battles” to be won

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

I believe that the interaction between the legal team and the business areas is the fundamental key to success. That’s why I always try to make sure that the legal department is involved at right stage in the key projects that are important to the group, so that it can always make a positive contribution to the business, by encouraging improving the communication and close contact.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

A Lactalis, and its legal department, are supporting the project “As Justiceiras”, that stands against the violence against the women.
