What are the major projects or initiatives you have worked on that you are most proud of?  

We have as a team executed several material projects for the company; for instance, the sale and lease back of all tower infrastructure which represented a financial benefit of over USD200m for the company. This represented a huge effort to properly find and prepare the documentation to support the transaction, regulatory authorizations, and execution documents. We have supported the business in the design, approval and execution of our deployment and launch of 5G. CWP became the first telco operator to provide this technology for our clients. Representing a pivotal change in how communications are done in Panama.  

What measures has your company taken to embed sustainability practices into its core business operations, and how does the role of the general counsel contribute to driving and ensuring sustainable practices within the company?  

 Our team plays a key Rol in our ESG efforts. As to supporting the gathering of information for our annual ESG report as to explaining to our personnel the importance of these practices in any business. How aligning our everyday activities to our ESG goals creates value and benefits.    

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?  

As a member of the diversity council of the company my duty is to guarantee a safe space for everybody in the company. The important first step is to enforce respect and empathy. We look for talent in people not looking at any other aspect that defines us. In our company diversity is important but it is not just to say it is to show it.  

What is a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you care about, and why? 

I am a proud member of the Shriners organization which helps kids with orthopedic conditions and burns. We work hard so they can receive, for free, the proper medical treatments and any assistance we can provide.
