Cristina joined Citi back in July 2001, currently she is the General Counsel in Costa Rica with oversight for legal affairs and corporate governance matters for the financial group as well as the Shared Service Center. Additionally, she supports the CCO as a liaison for local regulators and coordinates corporate governance matters for the franchise. Cristina served as the General Manager of the corporate banking license prior to the divestiture process which took place on February 2016.
Her professional background includes positions as In-house Counsel for Corporacion Desarrollo Agricola Del Monte (2000-2001) and Senior Legal Counsel for Banco Nacional de Costa Rica (1995-2000).
Cristina is an Attorney at Law and Notary Public from Universidad de Costa Rica. She also holds a master in Commercial Law from the same University and a degree in International Legal Affairs from INCAE Business School and Georgetown University
Cristina is also a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and former Co chairman of the Citi Costa Rica Women Council.
