Career Biography
Gabriela Bergantino serves as Legal Director for Latin America at MPC Capital, a global investment and asset manager for infrastructure projects. In this role, she leads the legal department for the renewable energy segment, leveraging her decade of experience in such sector. As Legal Director, she has closed several M&A and project finance transactions for projects in Central America, Colombia and the Caribbean. She provides strategic legal counsel to management, conducting comprehensive risk assessments across various jurisdictions and developing effective mitigation strategies. Gabriela holds board positions in several MPC group companies and is an active member of the Women Directors Association of Panama (Asociación de Directoras de Panamá). Before joining MPC Capital, she gained valuable experience in the financial sector for 5 years at Bladex, a NYSE-listed Panamanian bank. Her academic credentials include two Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees: one in Law and the Global Economy from New York University School of Law (NYU) and another in Corporate and Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
