Lawyer and Notary Public
I am a seasoned lawyer and notary public with a robust background in legal and business management.
I graduated from Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas” in El Salvador and hold a Master’s degree in Business Management. I was appointed as a lawyer in 2006 and certified as a notary public in 2008.
From 2003 to 2006, I began my career as a paralegal at a private microfinance institution. Shortly after graduating from law school, I was appointed as Head of the Legal Department, a position I held until 2008. During this period, I was an active member of the Management Committee, contributing to strategic decision-making and gaining comprehensive insights into various business areas.
In 2008, I transitioned to a government-owned microfinance institution, where I led the legal department until 2010. My role involved redesigning procedures and participating in the development and financing of hundreds of small businesses.
Between 2010 and 2013, I worked at a multinational company in the consumer goods and apparel manufacturing sector. This role provided my first exposure to multinational contracts, litigation, and regulatory issues and taught me to collaborate effectively with teams across the globe.
From 2013 to 2020, I was part of Arias y Muñoz, the most prestigious law firm in El Salvador, where I was assigned as in-house counsel for Grupo Agrisal. I supervised all legal matters for the company across various countries, covering fields such as real estate, hospitality, automotive, and leasing.
Since 2020, I have been serving as General Counsel for Grupo Agrisal, overseeing the company’s legal affairs and ensuring compliance across all its operations. In this role, I have been instrumental in the conception and materialisation of many strategic deals, including the signing of financings worth several million dollars, the creation of multiple securitisation funds, the resolution of paramount litigations, and the development of innovative projects.
At 44 years old, I have managed to develop a career that has given me much satisfaction while still being relatively young. I am married, have two children, and enjoy spending time outdoors and reading.
