Patricia Pineda de Argumedo

I am an experienced professional in banking law with over 15 years of expertise, specialising in Consumer Law. I hold a degree in Legal Sciences from Dr. José Matías Delgado University, a diploma in Business Law from José Simeón Cañas Central American University, and a Master’s in International Business from Dr. José Matías Delgado University.

Since October 2018, I have served as a Legal Advisor, specialising in Litigation, within the Legal Department at Banco Cuscatlán, El Salvador. In this role, I provide strategic counsel on the prevention and resolution of litigation, ensuring the protection of the institution’s legal and financial interests.

My practice includes managing cases before the Superintendency of the Financial System and the Consumer Protection Agency, where I have been involved in high-profile judicial and administrative proceedings. This encompasses everything from the design of procedural strategies to providing technical defence in judicial forums.

In addition to my specialisation in litigation, I advise on fiduciary law, compliance, risk management, financial fraud, administrative law, and labour law. My extensive experience in both the public and banking sectors allows me to offer legal counsel that is not only comprehensive but also current with the latest developments in the field.
