Stephanie Montoya

With more than 20 years of experience, both at regional law firm and FMCGC companies, Stephanie is currently serving as senior global legal counsel for Unilever International, a global division for the multinational company Unilever. In her role, she manages the legal affairs for the Americas and Europe regions contributing to the company´s division mission of serving the underserved channels and customers across the globe. Previously, she served as senior legal counsel for the 5 countries of Central America also supporting the recently integrated operations of the Grand Caribbean region.

She has been part of Unilever since 2015 having in her scope other responsibilities such as being a member of the Leadership Board of Central America, now Caricam, being a member of the LatAm Brand Protection team and actively participating in the gender equality agenda of the region.

Before joining Unilever, she worked for more than 11 years at Consortium Legal, one of the first regional law firms in Central America, focusing her expertise on Intellectual Property, corporate law, M&A and foreign investment, serving a diverse number of regional and multinational companies.

Stephanie has an LLM in Business Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has been recognized in numerous occasions by The Legal500 as one of the most influential and disruptive legal counsels in Central America and in 2022 she was ranked as one of the best 45 lawyers under 45 by Derecho & Negocios Magazine, El Salvador.
