Cervecería Nacional Dominicana
Founded in 1929 and currently owned by AmBev and Grupo León Jimenes, Cervecería Nacional Dominicana (CND) has established itself as the Dominican Republic’s primary beer producer. The company also produces and markets high quality malts, carbonated and energy drinks, water and distillates. The legal function at this popular company is headed by Ramon Franco, regional counsel for the HILA Region, who has over 25 years of law practice experience at leading consumer products companies. Supporting Franco is paralegal legal assistant Sarah (Pérez) Suzaña who joined in 2016. A key recent activity the department has worked on was the multimillion dollar investment in the expansion of the company’s factory in Hato Nuevo which required overcoming a number of local regulations to allow CND to increase its production capacity significantly.
