For 70 years, the Costa Rican cooperative producer of dairy, beverages, and candy products Dos Pinos has sold products throughout Central America and the Caribbean. The company’s legal department is headed by legal director Silvia Amador who has been with the company since April 2014 and, in that time, has overseen the department’s assistance to the business on strategically significant transactions. In 2015, the legal team played a key role in Dos Pinos’ acquisition of industrial products company La Completa in Nicaragua to boost the company’s presence there. In the following year they were highly praised for their involvement in the acquisition of Gallito, the candy confectionary subsidiary from Mondelēz International, in a move that saw Dos Pinos diversify its operations. Amdor is supported by legal counsel Luis Herrera, who recently joined.
