Enel Green Power, the renewable energy subsidiary of the multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity Enel, develops and operates hydro, wind, solar and geothermal projects across Latin America. The legal team that provides full legal support to the company and its subsidiaries in Central America and Mexico is coordinated by Costa Rica based regional general counsel Daniel Muñoz Jiménez. Having led the team for the last 11 years, Muñoz is recognised across the region for his vast expertise in corporate governance and due diligence, and for his experience in working on key development projects across Central America. His legal team currently provides full support to all Enel Green Power development and construction renewable energy projects, as well as managing the ongoing operation of existing facilities, including the company’s two hydroelectric plants in Costa Rica. The team recently supported the company’s construction of a 50MW plant on the Tarcoles River in Costa Rica and is at present involved in providing full support to the construction of 754MW solar photovoltaic plant in Coahuila State, which is the largest PV facility under construction in the Americas and Enel’s largest solar project worldwide.
