KIO Networks is an information technology infrastructure company headquartered in Mexico that provides highly robust mission critical services for both public and private clients. Alongside Mexico, KIO Networks has recently expanded into Panama, where it now has a notable presence along with a legal team to support this. Alejandro Royo is regional legal director based in Panama and has had a significant role in taking the company’s legal support to the next level. He has been the individual most intimately involved with developing KIO Networks’ international legal function, which includes operations in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, the US (sold in May 2017 to Zayo Group) and Spain in addition to Panama, and to support clients within the whole LATAM region. Expansion into these many new territories all in the space of three years, with the corresponding expansion of the team’s headcount and internal procedures and processes, is a significant achievement and one that the KIO Networks legal team should be particularly proud of.
