The US food and beverage multinational PepsiCo has had a presence in Guatemala and the Central American region since 1942. 75 years later and PepsiCo has expanded to cover a total of nine more markets in Latin America and the Caribbean, namely, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Ecuador and Peru. The regional legal function is headed by legal manager for Central America and the Caribbean Luis Pedro Jegerlehner. Whilst he is based in Guatemala, the gifted legal coordinator Jorge A. Rodríguez Chamah assists the legal function from the Dominican Republic as does Rosa Maria Cabreja who is legal manager for Frito Lay, PepsiCo’s food subsidiary that manufactures, markets and sells potato chips and other snack foods.
