Camelia Nicoara has more than nine years as an in-house lawyer at Michelin. She started her in house career with Michelin in 2005 and after five years as promoted to legal and public affairs director for Romania and the Balkans. Since 2012, she has been legal and public affairs director for Central South Europe, a role which encompasses significant responsibilities at regional level. Being lawyers of the same generation, I’ve had the opportunity of crossing paths with her on several occasions. More importantly, I’ve had the opportunity of working directly with her, in our law firm’s capacity of legal advisor to Michelin. Throughout our collaboration, Nicoara demonstrated professionalism and passion in her work. She is highly knowledgeable, intuitive and responsive. She gave us very detailed and prompt feedback whenever needed while clearly explaining our assignments and the company’s expectations in relation thereto. She is knowledgeable, demonstrating superior relationship management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. She always had a strategy lined-up to make our work go as smoothly as possible and help us prioritise tasks efficiently. She really seems to know what work must be prioritised, what should be insourced and outsourced et cetera. Her legal knowledge, transactional experience and project management skills are impressive. She manages the legal activity and the legal risk in 11 countries in Central South Europe (Romania, Hungary, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia). I would not hesitate to recommend Nicoara for inclusion in the GC Powerlist: Central and Eastern Europe.
