General counsel and company secretary Branko Gabric leads the legal and ethics & compliance departments at Air Serbia, Serbia’s national flag carrier airline. The team works on all legal and compliance matters for the Serbian international airline. In particular, it handles the corporate governance with an eye towards long term growth, contracts, corporate transactions and supervision of the company’s commercial interests. The team also works on implementation of EU regulations and legislation requirements including data protection and any litigation, competition work and advisory. The team employs external counsels when needed but carries out the majority of it work in-house. Air Serbia is the successor company of Air Yugoslavia and JAT Airlines, inheriting a long history of aviation across Europe and to other global locations. It continues this today with its strategic partnership with Etihad Airways for its long distance flights to the US and other destinations.
