Henkel Ukraine
With a several-decade presence in the Ukrainian market, Henkel’s subsidiary in Ukraine has established itself as a national market leader in the manufacture of soap, detergents, cleaning, polishing products, perfumes and toilet products. Today the company operates a highly flexible four-person corporate legal team which is able to support the company’s four distinct businesses and four legal entities in the country. Over the past couple of years, the team stood out with its work to establish a fully digitised and mobile office, featuring a separately designated VC area, which enables the team to work remotely outside of the office. The team also gained international recognition thanks to its participation in a project named “Sharing of the best EU /World practices” by participating in conferences and educational events in the European Business Association, American Chamber of Commerce and German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the aim to share best legal practices and experience with Ukrainian companies and society. Due to the team’s positive impact on the formulation of Henkel’s legal culture, over the last four years the company has enjoyed a four-year period without any dramatic litigation cases or disputes with authorities. The department is headed by lawyer with 28 years of experience, Olga Lukyanova, who has been described as an ‘innovative business leader’ by nominators. Her highly experienced colleagues Andrey Koba, Ivanna Oleshchenko and Hlib Diakov are said to complement each other ‘like a puzzle’ and succeed in providing outstanding legal and business support to Henkel in Ukraine.
