PSE is a large state-owned transmission system operator in Poland. The company is tasked with ensuring the necessary development of the domestic transmission grid and its cross-border interconnections, making transmission capacity available on market-based methods for cross-border exchange purposes and creating the technical infrastructure for the operation of the domestic wholesale electricity market. PSE employs an exceptionally strong and well organised internal legal team, credited for maintaining a highly efficient cooperation with senior management necessary to support key projects. The team is led by Bogumiła Ożarska Karbowiak, who has substantially strengthened the team since joining in 2016. Karbowiak, alongside her team, has supervised substantial changes within the company capital group and major changes to the internal corporate rules.
