Focus on the agility challenge
The world is advancing at a dizzying pace, speed in business is a success factor, and business activities’ risks are becoming more extraordinary and complex every day. Companies must be competitive and achieve profitable growth in a context of increasing turbulence and pressure; they must take advantage of opportunities and avoid threats quickly and safely.
In this environment, one of the most significant challenges internal legal departments face is providing timely support, in line with the current pace of business, without neglecting the daily demands of corporate activity, all this while achieving an adequate balance between work and personal life.
The search for opportunities to obtain greater agility becomes a daunting task, especially in small legal departments. One of the main obstacles we face in this process is the frustration that can develop from failing to reach the level we aspire to. We must work on changing our mindset and not succumbing to demotivation or pressure. It is not about adapting to changes but about wanting to be part of those changes, considering challenges as opportunities for development and not as reasons for frustration or demotivation.
Speed in business is a success factor; therefore, agility will always be a growing need in modern organisations. The day we stop having that ambition, we will be out of the game.
