Focus on the challenges of an in-house lawyer

During my years of work, I have experienced many changes. From the complete modification of insurance regulations in Chile, to the digital transformation to which the pandemic pushed us, along with a much stronger regulatory environment. This of course represents a challenge. In addition, the work of an in-house lawyer forces you to be flexible and to understand the requirements of the different internal and external clients, having a vision of business support but without ever losing focus on regulatory compliance. This represents an even bigger challenge, when we understand the difficulty in keeping that balance under the constant pressures of our work.

All the above made me realise the importance of adaptability and building a career from scratch. The need to accept and take advantage of changes as a force for renewal, making us push ourselves to the limit, the hard work we undertake, the relationships we develop, generating a good work environment, and constant learning are all key to continuing a positive path toward growth and development.

Being unafraid of change is essential to develop professionally. Each change of workplace that I have had has taken me out of my comfort zone and has allowed me to get new knowledge and skills to face the challenges ahead with greater maturity.
