Focus on the importance of the personal brand
Just as companies are quite aware of the values that they represent, they should also be aware of the personal brand of their legal managers, providing them with all the necessary support for its enhancement. In the same way, we must be responsible enough to be aware of the importance of this concept and the need to take advantage of the opportunities for its development. Indeed, it is essential for legal managers to know and recognise their own personal values, how these are reflected in their work and how they can impact the company to which they belong and society in general. Only in this way can it be determined whether there is a true connection between the values of a legal manager’s personal brand and those of his or her company. The passion and authenticity that this connection promotes will allow them to defend their position and that of their company more naturally and efficiently. To find this personal brand, it is necessary to have a team that has the confidence to find authenticity in your work. This allows you to understand who you are, what are your own values and the reasons why it is worth defending them. It is a task of self-knowledge, but also of exploring the history and culture of the team you belong to and represent. If you do not know yourself well, there will inevitably be a break between your own identity and the perception that the company and society will have of it. It is for this reason that personal knowledge is essential for there to be coherence in the internal and external environment of a person, which channels passion towards work. Therefore, my message to fellow legal managers in this community is to be the leader you would have liked to have in your early career, because the impacts of your work will have infinite repercussions on your own career, but, more importantly, in the careers of others and on society.
