Fernado Carmash Cassis joined BCI in 1987, and in 1993, became responsible for managing the agreement and contract division within BCI´s legal department. In 2011 he was granted more responsibility as the head of the corporate and investment banking legal division. Since 2016, Fernado has served as BCI´s general counsel.
Before joining BCI, Fernado worked as a lawyer for the Valdivia´s Mayor Office and the legal department at the Dirección del Trabajo (Labor Office) in Santiago. He graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, has a Magister in economics and management for lawyers from Universidad Gabriela Mistral, and possesses a Postgraduate or Management Development Program from the Universidad de los Andes. Fernado also has a diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Law at the Catholic University Santiago.
