Ranking as the 27th largest employer among the Fortune 500 companies, the American multinational food service, facilities, and uniform services provider Aramark boasts a significant presence in Chile which has been established over the course of 30 years. The exceptional group of professionals within its legal department not only gives full legal support to Aramark’s Chile operations, but also provides coverage of the company’s activities in Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Colombia, including projects in Brazil, providing advice and project management in areas as diverse as operations, tenders, innovation, supply chain, compliance, ethics programs and litigation. The team is led by vice president and associate general counsel for Latin America Eduardo Jara, who has overseen legal and ethics affairs at the company for many years. Jara is an esteemed member of the regional executive committee and of Aramark’s global leadership council. He has substantial experience gained in-house and in private practice at such reputable organisations as Aramark, broadcaster DIRECTV and law firms Barros & Errázuriz in Chile and Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in the United States. Eduardo Jara has built and leads a team which is full of talented counsel that have amassed a large portfolio of experience between them. Ainhoa Pozzi, for example, is an up-and-coming and bright lawyer, who has spent a considerable length of time working at Aramark’s Chile and Argentina operations, has impressed both with her legal expertise and her work to implement new technology in the team’s workload. Pía Monasterio Blanco, another strong lawyer within the team, receives praise for her skills in managing the retail and marketing initiatives and handle lawsuits regionally. The team also recently added lawyer Francisco Reyes, who oversees Mining and Supply Chain operations in Chile. His organisational expertise will undoubtedly serve as a boost to the team’s already strong profile.
